The decisions of the Organizing Committee concerning the acceptance and the form of each presentation will be notified by e-mail
towards the end of January 2001.

Place and dates of the workshop

the Workshop will be held at the UNIVERSITY MOHAMED Ist of OUJDA, Morocco, in the conference room located at the
Faculty of Letters.

Participants are expected to arrive at Oujda on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 in the afternoon. The workshop secretariat will operate
during all days through the workshop, starting Tuesday march 20.

There will be internet access.
There is no registration fee.

Accomodation

Participants will be accommodated at the COS/ONE hotel.

Meals

Breakfasts and dinners will be served at the Hotel and lunches will be served at the University. The Workshop Banquet will be held
on Thursday evening, march 22 in a downtown restaurant.

Visas

Visitors from European Community countries , from USA and from Canada do not need visas but must have a valid passport. A visa
is required for other countries. If in doubt, please inquire about visa requirements at the Moroccan Embassies.

Currency

The Moroccan currency is the Dirham(DH), the approximate current exchange rate is: 1 $ US #10.5DH. Exchange is possible at the
air terminals in Casablanca and Oujda, and in most banks. (Major credit cards are not universally accepted in Oujda). Do not change
money in the street!

Public Transportation

 In the city of Oujda you may use "Petits Taxis".
 Participants will be taken from the Hotel to the University and vice versa by a special bus.

Shopping hours

Shopping hours are generally from 9.00 to 19.00 on weekdays; some shops are closed on Friday.

Telephones

Public phones are either pay-phones or card-phones. Pay-phones operate with 0.5, 1 and 5 DH coins, card-phones with 50 or 120 unit
phone cards. International calls can be made at all public phone boots: Start with dialing 00, then the country code, etc. Telephone calls
may be also made from the teleboutiques, from the Hotel, and "exeptionaly" from the workshop secretatariat.

Weather

Morocco is in the continental temperate zone, the weather in March is usually nice, above 20 C (this is not a promise), but suprisingly
an umbrella could be needed.

Arrival in Oujda

By plane: The Oujda Airport is located at about 15 km from the center of the city. Taxis may take you anywhere in the city .
Participants arriving on Tuesday march 20 from Casablanca will be met by the University bus. Please inform the organizing
committee of your date and time of arrival.

Emergency calls

Emergency calls are: 12 for the police, and 16 for the ambulance.
