INTERCAST Home Page INTERCAST EUROPE S.p.A. was founded in 1975 to develop specific chemistry and casting technologies for manufacturing hard resin sunwear filters. Since 1983 Intercast has invested substantial R&D resources to develop high-quality functional filters for sunglasses. Qualified scientists and ophtalmologists have been involved in the projects to assure the highest degree of eye protection and visual performance to the products.
As members of National and International Standardization Bodies: UNI
(Ente nazionale di unificazione), ISO (International Standards
Organization) and CEN (European Committee for Standardization),
Intercast is actively contributing to the development of international
standards for eye protective equipment. A Quality Assurance Manufacturing
Program is managed by the Company's Testing Lab.
INTERCAST EUROPE's Scientific Division, founded in 1987, manufactures
track detectors made of CR39 monomer for nuclear and aerospace applications,
as well as optical filters for electronic and industrial use.
