Welcome

    Prof. Paolo Capiluppi, Head of the Department of Physics

    The Department of Physics is located in Viale Berti Pichat 6/2, Via Irnerio 46 and in Viale Berti Pichat 8.
    The Department hosts the administration, the professors offices, the library, the scientific laboratories, the teaching laboratories, the classrooms and the Services for Research and Teaching.
    The Department of Physics holds the PhD in Physics and the PhD in Geophysics.
    The Department of Physics hosts the laboratories and offices of the following Research Institutes with which a strong scientific collaboration is going on:
    • Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare, Sezione di Bologna (INFN)
    • the Italian National Center for Research and Development about Information and Data transmission Technologies (CNAF)
    • Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, Bologna branch (INGV)
    • Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per le Scienze Fisiche della Materia, Unità di Ricerca di Bologna (CNISM)
